LAKE STEVENS — Lake Stevens police on Thursday released a drawing of a man they believe sexually assaulted a girl who was walking her sister home from school Tuesday.
The reported attacked occurred about 2:40 p.m. in the 3000 block of Grade Road, Lake Stevens Police Chief Randy Celori said.
The girl, 14, was walking with her younger sister, 11, when a man approached from the opposite direction, he said. The man reached out and grabbed the older girl’s chest.
That’s when the girl started to scream and the man ran off.
The man is described as white, between 30 and 40, and about 5 feet 4 inches tall. He reportedly is stout, with a round face and stubble on his chin. He had a suntanned complexion; dark, straight brown hair and bright blue eyes. The man was wearing dark work-style shoes, blue jeans, a dark-blue hooded sweatshirt and a brown jacket.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lake Stevens police at 425-334-9537 or 911.
