EVERETT — A Lake Stevens teen was taken to a hospital after his car crashed on I-5 late Tuesday night.
The 17-year-old boy was northbound on the freeway when his Toyota Corolla hit a barrier to his left around 11:30 p.m. The car careened into traffic and allegedly crashed into Toyota Tacoma truck driven by a 17-year-old boy from Marysville, the Washington State Patrol said. When their vehicles stopped, they were blocking traffic.
Both drivers had worn their seat belts. The Lake Stevens boy was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the State Patrol.
