BOTHELL — Drivers should prepare for backups and delays during lane closures on Highway 527 this month in the Canyon Park area north of Bothell.
Work started Tuesday as crews with the Washington State Department of Transportation closed a northbound lane between the Highway 524 interchange and 189th Place SE, a section that had 32,000 vehicles per day in 2019, according to WSDOT data. The daily closures from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday through Friday lets crews safely clean stormwater retention vaults.
In two weeks, work and a lane closure will begin along southbound Highway 527. It’s expected to conclude Aug. 26.
Commuters can get real-time traffic information on the WSDOT app and the WSDOT Traffic Twitter page.
