Larsen to visit seniors, students in county Tuesday

Congressman Rick Larsen will be in south Snohomish County on Tuesday to meet with seniors and students.

Larsen will meet seniors in Lynnwood. He will then visit the Latino Education and Training Institute and the Mountlake Terrace Homework Club.

From 11 a.m. to noon, Larsen will tour the new Senior Services of Snohomish County’s Center for Healthy Living in Lynnwood. He will meet with staff members to discuss senior health care needs and the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. The center is at 4100 Alderwood Mall Blvd. in Lynnwood.

Then, from noon to 1 p.m., Larsen will visit with seniors at the Senior Services of Snohomish County’s Multicultural Senior Center, also at 4100 Alderwood Mall Blvd., Lynnwood.

From 3 to 3:45 p.m., Larsen will visit the Latino Education and Training Institute to hear about efforts to support the success of Spanish-speaking and bilingual residents. The Institute is at 6605 202nd St. S.W., Lynnwood, on the second floor.

From 5:30 to 6 p.m., Larsen will visit the Mountlake Terrace Homework Club. He will donate two surplus laptops to the Alderwood-Terrace Rotary Club for use by students at the homework club. The homework club meets at Terrace Park School, 5409 228th St. SW, Mountlake Terrace.

Larsen represents the 2nd Congressional District, including Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, Brier, the coastal areas of Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties from Mukilteo to Bellingham, and all of Island and San Jaun counties.
