SEATAC — A laser light flashed on another plane coming in for landing at Sea-Tac Airport.
The FAA says the pilot of a Southwest Airlines plane reported green laser beams about 10:15 p.m. Thursday lit up the cockpit. The plane landed safely.
The light originated in north Seattle, about four miles north of Husky Stadium. That’s farther north than a string of other laser light flashings that have been reported since February at Sea-Tac. About 30 planes have been lit up on nine different nights from just north of the airport.
Port of Seattle police and federal agencies have been investigating. A person shining a laser at an airplane could be charged with interfering with the duties of an air crew.
