Sriharshita Musunuri, a Henry M. Jackson High School senior, received high honors at the International BioGENEius Challenge, a competition for high school students that recognizes outstanding research in biotechnology. Along with her honors, she took home a cash prize of $1,000.
A panel of industry and academic experts found that her research, “A Novel Point-of-Care Theranostic for Gram-Negative Sepsis: Synthesis and Application of Polymer Nanoparticles for Rapid Endotoxin Capture,” stood out from the other 14 finalists’ research.
