CHEHALIS — The Lewis County prosecutor’s office says a sheriff’s deputy was justified in using lethal force Nov. 1 when he killed a Napavine man who was apparently suicidal.
The Chronicle reported that Deputy Matt Wallace shot 64-year-old Gregory S. Kaufman when he refused commands to drop a knife and lunged at the deputy.
