LAKEWOOD — The Pierce County prosecutor has charged a Lewis-McChord soldier with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his wife at their Lakewood apartment.
Prosecutor Mark Lindquist called the shooting last Thursday night an unfortunate example of domestic violence. He says Skylar Nemetz, 20, shot Tarrah Nemetz, 19, in the back of the head with an AR-15 rifle because he was furious another man had purchased alcohol for her.
Nemetz is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday afternoon in Tacoma.
