Light rail work to close Lynnwood Transit Center HOV ramps

The overnight closures are set for Aug. 3 through 5, Aug. 9 through 11, and Aug. 13 through 16.

LYNNWOOD — Carpool commuters who use the I-5 HOV exit to and from the Lynnwood Transit Center should plan for a detour this week and beyond as the ramps close for light rail work.

Sound Transit Link light rail construction crews need to close the carpool exit and on-ramp between the highway and transit center overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesday through Thursday. The direct access ramp is to close overnight, as well, Aug. 9-11 and again Aug. 13 before reopening at 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16.

Community Transit and Sound Transit bus routes still will stop at the transit center but could see short delays while using surface streets instead of the HOV ramps.
