The rain showers seen in much of Snohomish County will likely turn into snow tonight, forecasters say.
Light snow showers at elevations above 400 feet were expected later tonight, according to the National Weather Service in Seattle.
In east Snohomish County, the snow was predicted to start late this afternoon. Up to 2 inches were forecast for the mountains by the end of the day.
