A new bench was added to Everett’s Lions Park in honor of the Lions Clubs’ centennial. The steel bench with sculptural accents was constructed by welding students at Sno-Isle Tech Skills Center.
“We wanted the bench to represent Lions 100 years of service. And we wanted it useful, large and colorful so it would stand out,” said Art Ruben, of the Everett Central Lions Club. The bench was dedicated at a recent Everett Lions Clubs Centennial picnic.
Everett has had a Lions Club since 1920. The park was named for the local service clubs in the 1970s. For information about Lions, contact Ruben at 425-387-9256.
