LYNNWOOD — A big rig carrying wooden trusses spilled its load onto a southbound I-5 entrance at 164th Avenue SW near Martha Lake on Monday morning.
No one was injured in the rollover, but the unhitched trailer and its timber frames did block the busy looping onramp for a few hours, causing local traffic delays.
“It made a few headaches here and there,” said Doug Goddard, a clerk with Ash Way Shell near the accident.
Washington State Patrol trooper Kirk Rudeen said the accident, which happened about 11:35 a.m., was cleared by 1:45 p.m., and no other vehicles were involved. It wasn’t clear whether the driver was cited. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
Drivers trying to access the onramp from Mill Creek were diverted to a second southbound exit at 164th Avenue.
The truck’s owner, Trussworks LLC of Bothell, declined to talk about the accident, but confirmed that the driver was uninjured.
Shannon Sessions, Lynnwood Police Department’s public information officer, said the accident, which happened north of the city limits, did not cause significant traffic problems.
