EVERETT – Three people were injured, two seriously, when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Puget Park Drive and 138th Place SE on Sunday, a fire official said.
A Ford Explorer driven by a man and a small sedan with a man and a woman inside were involved in the accident, said Leslie Hynes, spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 1. The accident happened shortly before 8:45 p.m.
The Explorer had to be cut apart to get the driver out, Hynes said. At least one of the vehicles had been speeding, she said.
All three people were taken to Providence Everett Medical Center, Hynes said. No further information was available late Sunday.
Lynnwood: Man hurt in accident with truck
A man was hospitalized after his car collided with a tow truck and another vehicle in Lynnwood on Saturday.
The man pulled out into traffic about 10:30 a.m. on 176th Street SW near 44th Avenue W., according to Lynnwood police. The man’s car hit the truck and then collided with another car.
The driver, whose name and hometown were not released, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His condition was not available Sunday. No one else was injured.
Alcohol was believed to be a factor in the accident, police said. The accident stopped traffic for about 45 minutes.
