SNOHOMISH – A man wanted on suspicion of robbing a bank in Edmonds was arrested Thursday by Snohomish police.
Police found the man’s car in a parking lot in the 100 block of Avenue C about 8:30 a.m., Snohomish police spokeswoman Linda Hardy said. They learned the car’s owner lived in a nearby apartment complex, then waited inside and arrested him when he came out, Hardy said.
The man, a Snohomish resident, was booked in Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree robbery. He was wanted by Edmonds police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The National Rifle Association will hold a seminar on Saturday to teach people how to avoid becoming victims of crime.
The Refuse To Be a Victim seminar starts at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, Post 127, 19213 Bothell Way NE. It will last about three hours. Admission is free.
The seminar will teach people how to develop strategies to prevent crimes from happening, as well as how to prepare and react when crimes do happen, program spokeswoman Jorge Amselle said. Firearm instruction is not part of the seminar.

Lakeside Community Fellowship is offering a two-part class to educate parents, children and others about sexual assault.
The classes will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the fellowship building, 14619 28th St. NE. The class is free, but pre-registration is required.
