EVERETT – The Snohomish County Council is searching for someone to teach neighborhoods how to identify and shut down drug houses.
The council on Wednesday approved the search for a neighborhood liaison. The group or person selected will give a minimum of 30 presentations a year in Snohomish County.
“Having an informed and aware community is key to assisting law enforcement to more quickly respond to and close down the criminal activity,” Councilman Jeff Sax said.
The neighborhood outreach is part of the council’s war on methamphetamine, Sax said.
The request for qualified applicants will go to the county executive’s office and the county’s purchasing department, Sax said.
