EVERETT – Everett police officers made several arrests after being led to a stolen vehicle after the vehicle’s OnStar system activated an hour after it was reported stolen from a Monroe lot, Everett police reported Tuesday.

One man, 24, had a significant felony history. The investigation also led to another man, 38, who was wanted as a fugitive. He was known to be armed and a safety risk. Officers located the man at the Marriott Hotel near Alderwood Mall. The man was armed and had several thousand dollars in cash and a controlled substance in his possession, police Sgt. Boyd Bryant said.

A male passenger, 30, was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant and for possession of drug paraphernalia. A woman, 35, was arrested for an outstanding traffic warrant and for possession of methamphetamine, Bryant said.

Stanwood: Scooter accident victim ID’d

A boy killed while riding a motorized scooter at Kayak State Park has been identified as Jeremiah Reed, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. The boy, 9, died Friday when the scooter he was driving collided with a truck in the 16500 block of 78th Avenue NW, according to Snohomish County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen.

Marysville: Father saves girl from drowning

A 4-year-old girl who was found unconscious in a backyard swimming pool Friday is expected to make a full recovery, police said. The girl’s father pulled her out and administered CPR until firefighters arrived. She was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Seattle.
