EVERETT – An Everett man who died from a gunshot wound this week has been identified as Jose Luis Guitierrez-Martinez, the Snohomish County medical examiner said Friday.
Officers found Martinez, 24, dead about 9 p.m. Wednesday in the courtyard at Parkside Apartments in the 900 block of Casino Road. He died from a gunshot wound to the torso, the medical examiner said.
Police were called to the apartment after someone reported hearing gunshots and seeing a man down on the ground.
Another Everett man, 26, was shot in the leg and is expected to recover from his injuries.
Police are still searching for whoever opened fire at the apartment building.
