GRANITE FALLS — A Granite Falls family was displaced Wednesday evening after an apparent chimney fire spread to their roof of their house in the 18300 block of Russian Road, just south of Spring Lake.
Firefighters with Fire District 17 in Granite Falls quickly attacked the fire with the assistance of fire personnel from Arlington, Lake Stevens and Getchell.
Volunteers with the American Red Cross were called to help the family. The fire remains under investigation.
Lynnwood: Suspect sought in robbery
Police were searching near Lynnwood Square on Wednesday afternoon after a man attempted to rob KeyBank at 19820 44th Ave. W.
No one was injured in the incident, which occurred just before 5 p.m, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.
The man passed a note to a teller demanding cash. He ran away empty-handed.
The robber was described as white, tall and thin, and appeared to be in his late 20s or early 30s. He has brown hair and wore a brown stocking-cap with a black and gray checked scarf and dark gray jacket during the holdup.
Everett: Woman hit, killed by car is identified
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the 89-year-old Everett woman who died Sunday evening after she was struck by a car while crossing the street.
Song Han was not in a crosswalk when she was hit by a minivan in the 900 block of W. Casino Road. The incident was ruled an accident.
Monroe: Man killed in wreck identified
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the 20-year-old Snohomish man who died early Sunday after a vehicle accident south of Monroe.
Mark Andrew Galloway’s car left the road near High Rock and Rimrock roads east of Highway 203. The incident was ruled an accident.
