MUKILTEO — A man who fell about 40 feet off a roof Monday was rushed by helicopter to a Seattle hospital, officials said.
The man was working on a home under construction in the 12000 block of Possession Lane when he fell about 11:15 a.m., said Leslie Hynes, a spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 1. The man was on a balcony when he fell about 30 feet, hit a landing and fell another 10 feet, she said.
He was taken by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Hynes said. The man’s condition was not immediately available Monday afternoon.
Lakewood: Blaze destroys mobile home
A mobile home was destroyed by fire Monday afternoon, officials said.
The fire started just after noon in the 200 block of 188th Street NE, Marysville Fire Battalion Chief Rex Tucker said.
No one was injured.
North County Fire and EMS was first on scene at the blaze, which took about an hour to fully suppress, Tucker said.
More than 30 firefighters from several north county districts fought the fire, he said.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating what sparked the fire.
