MARYSVILLE — Police are investigating the alleged rape of a Stanwood woman Tuesday by her work supervisor, officials said.
The woman, 27, told police she was leaving work in the 14900 block of Smokey Point Boulevard when her supervisor, a Marysville man, 38, asked her to come back inside, Marysville police Cmdr. Ralph Krusey said.
She went back inside and the man allegedly assaulted her, Krusey said.
After the assault, the woman fled and called police. She was taken to the hospital and examined, he said.
Police arrested the man without incident Wednesday at a house in the 17700 block of 27th Avenue NE, Krusey said.
The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of second-degree rape. He was later released on $25,000 bail.
