MARYSVILLE — The man who died after jumping out of a car in Marysville has been identified as Brandon S. Gorrell, 24, of Marysville, the King County medical examiner said.
The accident happened about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 5700 block of eastbound 88th Street NE.
Gorrell, his girlfriend and another couple had left the Tulalip Casino. Gorrell was in the back seat and was arguing with his girlfriend, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
Suddenly he decided to get out of the Suzuki XL7, which was going about 30 mph, Hover said.
He suffered critical injuries and died at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Investigators believe alcohol likely was a factor in the incident, sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
The medical examiner said Gorrell died of blunt force injuries and ruled his death an accident.
