TULALIP — A Marysville resident suffered serious injuries Saturday morning when a vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree on the Tulalip Reservation, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened about 10:15 a.m. on Marine Drive near the intersection of 12th Avenue NW. A person in the car was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Brand said.
Further information about the injured person was unavailable Saturday.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the accident.
Snohomish: Accident victim still critical
A woman who suffered severe injuries in an accident east of Snohomish on Friday night was still in critical condition Saturday, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators believe the woman was backing out of a driveway in the 7500 block of 131st Avenue SE about 7:15 p.m. when another car driven by a 17-year-old girl struck her vehicle on the driver’s side, sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Brand said.
The woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The 17-year-old girl and her two passengers may have suffered minor injuries, Brand said.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the accident.
Arlington: Woman says she shot herself
A 50-year-old woman who suffered a gunshot wound Saturday afternoon was taken to an area hospital for treatment, Snohomish County sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Brand said.
The woman reportedly called police about 5:20 p.m. from a home in the 24600 block of 47th Avenue NE, north of Arlington. When she called police, she reportedly said that she’d shot herself, Brand said.
Investigators are looking for the woman’s husband and child, who may have been with her at the time she suffered the gunshot wound, Brand said.
The shooting remains under investigation.
