SNOHOMISH — Absher Construction Co. has been awarded the bid for Valley View Middle School.
The Snohomish School Board unanimously accepted the $51.9 million bid from the Puyallup-based company at its W
ednesday meeting.
The board received bids from eight companies to demolish and rebuild the school, 14308 Broadway Ave.
Absher was the lowest bid.
The school is scheduled to be demolished in late February and be ready for the 2012 school year. The new school will be double the size of the old one. The school’s 675 students are attending the Maple Avenue Campus, at 601 Glen Ave.
