Lynnwood man arrested in child sex case

LYNNWOOD — A Lynnwood man was arrested Tuesday morning in an ongoing child exploitation investigation.

The Washington State Patrol arrested James S. Waddell, 53, at his apartment on 204th Street SW in Lynnwood. Waddell was being held Wednesday at Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree rape of a child and six counts each of possessing and dealing in child pornography.

Prosecutors have asked for his bail to be set at $250,000.
