EVERETT — A Lynnwood man was hospitalized at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Wednesday after a driver hit him on Highway 99 south of Everett.
The man, 35, tried to cross the road just north of Lincoln Way at 8:43 p.m. when a Mountlake Terrace woman driving north on the highway struck him, according to the Washington State Patrol. The woman, 57, was driving a Volkswagen Jetta.
The Lynnwood man suffered serious injuries, according to the state patrol.
The state patrol was investigating the collision but cited the cause as failure to yield right of way.
