LYNNWOOD — Police shut down what an employee said was a medical marijuana dispensary Saturday evening and are seeking a warrant to search the establishment.
Lynnwood Police Cmdr. Jim Nelson said police investigators believe illegal business was going on at the BZB Medical Group in the 4400 block of 168th St. SW.
Sophia Howell, a BZB employee, said police threatened to break the door down if she refused to unlock it.
“We opened the door under duress. We have a business license from the city of Lynnwood,” Howell said. “We had four patients in wheelchairs here. Two have multiple sclerosis, one has terminal cancer and another has AIDS. They are all authorized medical patients, and now they can’t get their medicine.”
The investigation is ongoing, Nelson said.
