EVERETT — After more than three decades in Washington’s court system, Lynnwood Municipal Court Administrator Paulette Revoir will retire at the end of the month, the city announced last week.
Revoir began in the position in 2013. Since then, she’s helped the court adopt new case management systems, navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and transition to the city’s new Community Justice Center.
“Paulette’s deep knowledge, professionalism, and compassion have made a lasting impact on the City of Lynnwood and the wider judicial community,” Lynnwood Presiding Judge Valerie Bouffiou said in a press release. “She has been a steady hand through times of growth and challenge, and her commitment to fairness, access to justice, and public service will leave an enduring legacy statewide. I am eternally grateful for what she has taught me as a judge and honored to call her my friend.”
Revoir’s judicial career began in the early 1990s in Snohomish County District Court. In 2007, she became the director of district court administration for all four district courts in the county. From 2011 to 2013, she served as court administrator for the city of SeaTac.
Revoir has been a champion of local and statewide justice initiatives, Acting Court Administrator Dee Morrill wrote in the release. She’s also known across Washington as former president of the District and Municipal Court Management Association and has received the association’s lifetime achievement award for her efforts in modernizing the state’s case management system.
“Paulette is an exceptional leader and a courageous advocate for court innovation,” Tukwila Municipal Court Judge Kim Walden said in the release. “I had the privilege of working closely with her on the statewide case management project, where her leadership was instrumental. Her pivotal role in advancing a modern, unified court case management system will stand as a lasting testament to her vision and dedication to improving the administration of and access to justice.”
Morrill will succeed Revoir beginning July 1.
