LYNNWOOD — Police are informing residents that a sex offender is moving to Lynnwood.
A public meeting has been scheduled for next month. Anyone with questions can attend.
Randy Curtis Ford, 64, is a Level 3 offender, the classification for those most likely to re-offend.
He is living in the 20700 block of Highway 99.
Curtis was convicted in 1996 after he offered to pay a minor for sex, according to a press release.
A 12-year-old boy went into a wooded area to ride dirt bikes with a friend. Curtis offered the child $50 for sex.
The boy refused and left.
Detectives later found a wooden sign in the area stating Curtis’ offer and listing a phone number.
Curtis was convicted of the same type of crimes in 1971, 1972 and 1975, according to a press release.
Curtis is no longer on community supervision.
The public meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Lynnwood Municipal Court, 19321 44th Avenue West. The gathering room is on the second floor.
