Lynnwood police investigating shooting that injured boy

The boy was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. Detectives were investigating.

LYNNWOOD — A teenage boy was shot in the arm Tuesday night in Lynnwood and hospitalized at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

Around 7 p.m., four children were walking near 186th Place SW and Highway 99, by a strip mall, when a vehicle drove up to them. Someone inside fired a gun, according to the Lynnwood Police Department. A bullet hit the boy, 14, in the arm.

The vehicle was described as a dark SUV with a loud exhaust.
