Everett: Man arrested in recent shooting
Police arrested a 29-year-old Everett man Friday in connection with a shooting two weeks ago.
The shooting occurred Oct. 19 in a house in the 700 block of Linden Avenue in Everett. A 43-year-old man who was visiting there was bound and shot in the throat, Everett police Sgt. Boyd Bryant said.
The victim remains hospitalized in stable condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The 29-year-old man arrested Friday was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of kidnapping, second-degree assault and assault with a weapon.
Police are still looking for a 33-year-old Everett woman in connection with the shooting.
Also on Friday, police found the woman who lives at the house where the shooting occurred. She had been missing since the day of the shooting, Bryant said.
High winds blamed for power outages
Strong, gusty winds on Friday felled tree branches and caused several power outages in Snohomish County.
More than 7,000 households in the county lost power throughout the day, Snohomish County PUD spokesman Mike Thorne said. About 1,000 PUD customers were still without power Friday night.
Thorne attributed the rash of outages to the windy weather. The strongest gust in Everett reached 41 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
A dozen crews were working late Friday to restore power to PUD customers, Thorne said.
