Lynnwood woman possibly drowned in Columbia River

She went missing near Crescent Bar. Her body was found on the shore Friday.

CRESCENT BAR – A Lynnwood woman likely drowned Thursday in the Columbia River.

Christa Gerard, 43, was staying with family in the Crescent Bar area when she went floating on the river and didn’t return Thursday night, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said. Her family reported her as missing and people looked for her through the evening.

She was found dead on the shoreline Friday.

The Grant County Coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
