LYNNWOOD — A Lynnwood woman died after being hit by a car Thursday night while crossing a street.
The King County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as 50-year-old Sun Suk Hwang.
She was attempting to cross the 5300 block of 168th Street SW around 7:30 p.m. and was hit by a car, Lynnwood police Cmdr. Jim Nelson said.
Hwang was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where she died Thursday night. The cause and manner of death are being determined.
The woman was not in a marked crosswalk, Nelson said. Detectives do not believe the car’s speed was a factor in the crash.
Traffic detectives continue to investigate.
