BELLINGHAM — Police said a 79-year-old man tried to get a 9-year-old girl to come to his car at a Bellingham park by offering her candy.
The man had been reported as suspicious on Saturday when he was seen driving around the park and watching children.
The Bellingham man was arrested Monday after the girl told someone about the candy offer. He was jailed for investigation of luring.
