SEATTLE — A man accused of threatening students at the University of Washington had complained about rude library behavior.
A police document filed for a court hearing for 32-year-old Derek Grube says officers responded to an online rant Saturday night that threatened to start shooting students if their loud behavior didn’t stop.
The Seattle Times reports Grube was ordered held Tuesday on $75,000 bail pending possible charges.
The online post addressed to “Dear UW Kids” said, “Contrary to what u may believe you are not better than anyone else u are not worth more than anyone else and u certainly aren’t above the rules just cuz u attend UW and others don’t.”
Grube was arrested after officers traced the post to an iPad accessing the Internet from a university building.
