GOLD BAR — A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of reckless endangerment Tuesday evening after reportedly firing a gun to scare someone off his property.
Police went to a house along Alder Loop Road just east of Gold Bar at 6:51 p.m. A 911 caller reported that a man shot at another person during an argument, according to a probable cause affidavit.
When officers arrived at the house, the man walked outside with a silver Taurus revolver secured in a holster on his hip. When a Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy took control of the weapon, the man advised him the gun was loaded, according to court papers.
The suspect said he had found a man in his house. It was unclear how they knew each other. When the man reached the front gate on his way out, the suspect allegedly began yelling and fired the revolver at a tree stump and the empty yard, according to court papers.
The man who was shot at told police one of the bullets grazed his hat, but no marks could be found as evidence.
No one was hurt.
The suspect was booked in the Snohomish County Jail.
