MARYSVILLE — Police have arrested the man they suspect twice approached girls as they walked home from school last week, and engaged in criminal sexual conduct.
The girls, in their teens, said a man pulled up in a car Thursday and asked if they wanted to see his genitals. The man exposed himself during the second incident, Marysville police Sgt. Peter Shove said in a press release Tuesday evening.
The girls ran and reported what happened.
Police located surveillance footage of the man driving away. The next day, a school resource officer stopped a vehicle that matched the description. The driver was identified and released.
The car had a large decal in the back window. A woman in September reported being accosted by a man driving a similar vehicle with a matching decal, Shove said.
The man was arrested Tuesday after the teens identified him. He was booked for communicating with minors for immoral purposes and indecent exposure.
