Man arrested in hit-and-run death of woman

VANCOUVER, Wash. — Vancouver police say they have arrested a 37-year-old man after woman was killed in a hit-and-run.

Police said the woman was hit by a car Thursday night. When emergency personnel arrived, the woman had died.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene but witnesses followed the car to a residence where police met them.

They arrested James I. Collins for investigation of vehicular homicide and was booked into Clark County jail.
