KENT – A SeaTac man has been charged with sexually assaulting his son and daughter and forcing them to watch child pornography downloaded from the Internet.

The 35-year-old man, whose name is being withheld to protect his children, told detectives he’d had sex with his 10-year-old daughter for the past three years and with his 12-year-old son for two years.

He also said he made his children view sexual material downloaded from the Internet, according to court documents.

He was being held on $100,000 bail and was scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in King County Superior Court.

The children were removed from the home by state Child Protective Services after charges were filed against their father June 29. A couple who babysat for them called CPS after noting a hickey on the girl’s neck that she said her father had given her.

The children’s mother initially said her husband showered with their daughter occasionally, and she had suspected something might be going on.

She later admitted she had yelled at him for giving the little girl a hickey. She said she had refused to participate in sex with the children and had told them they should not look at the pornographic images.

No charges had been filed against her.

Teen sentenced for role in teacher beating: A teen-ager has been sentenced to a year in jail for his role in a beating that left a Renton substitute gym teacher with fractured facial bones that required surgical repair. William Joseph Clark, 18, was sentenced Friday by King County Superior Court Judge Philip Hubbard Jr. Clark had pleaded guilty earlier to second- and fourth-degree assault in the attack on Gerald George, 57, a retired Renton High School teacher and wrestling coach. "I apologize. It was a mistake," said Clark, who has a 1998 conviction for fourth-degree assault. Another teen accused in the attack, Kurtis Boycan, 16, has pleaded guilty to second-degree assault. He faces up to a year in detention at sentencing Thursday. Boycan also has apologized. The attack occurred when the two boys interrupted a girls’ physical education class at Renton High School on March 23. When George attempted to escort them from the gym, they assaulted him.

Man arrested in fatal attack: A Renton-area man has been arrested by sheriff’s deputies in the stabbing death of another man at the home where both had been staying. The Renton man, 28, was booked for investigation of homicide, King County sheriff’s investigators said Saturday. They said the men knew each other, but would not discuss a possible motive. The death of Gary Ray Van Hove, 27, was discovered Friday when the woman he’d been staying with returned to her rural home and found her houseguest dead inside. Sheriff’s spokesman Gregg Walker said the man had no other known address. Meanwhile, his alleged assailant, who also had lived at the house, went to the emergency room of Valley Medical Center in Renton on Friday for treatment of minor injuries. Officers discovered the patient’s possible connection to the King County homicide case, and the man was taken into custody, Walker said.
