A Lynnwood man has been charged with rape and burglary after he allegedly forced his way into an Everett apartment and assaulted a woman in front of her young child.
Ronald Hubert Hendrick Dengah, 50, pushed his way into the apartment and attacked the woman and her boyfriend, who were asleep on the couch, Snohomish County deputy prosecutor David Kurtz alleged. He said Dengah had a previous relationship with the woman, 22.
The boyfriend, 38, managed to get out of the apartment and call police on his cellular phone. When officers arrived, Dengah was inside with the woman and her child, Kurtz said.
The woman told police that she’d been beaten and sexually assaulted, something Dengah denied, according to court papers.
He is charged with first-degree rape and first-degree burglary.
Dengah has claimed to be a former Army Ranger and has made threats to kill, Kurtz said. He asked that Dengah remain behind bars in lieu of $105,000 cash-only bail.
"The facts indicate the defendant is very threatening and dangerous," the prosecutor said.
