ARLINGTON – A 34-year-old man died in an apparent industrial accident near the Arlington Airport this afternoon, officials said.
Dispatchers got a 911 call that a man was trapped under a forklift, Arlington city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said.
The call came in around 1:45 p.m. in the 19300 block of 59th Avenue NE, she said.
The man apparently worked in the industrial park near the airport.
Rescuers arrived quickly but were unable to resuscitate the man, Banfield said.
Police and investigators from the state Department of Labor &Industries were looking into the incident.
