EVERETT — A Snohomish man was rushed to a Seattle hospital this morning after his pickup truck made a sharp left turn off the southbound lanes of I-5, drove across the median, darted across the northbound lanes and crashed into a fence.
It was as “if you were coming down southbound I-5 and just like you made a left turn over the median,” Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary said.
The man may have suffered a medical emergency, Leary said.
When medics arrived around 9 a.m., the truck’s wheels were still spinning and the man, 35, was not responsive, Leary said. The accident occurred just south of 128th Street SW in south Everett.
Leary said it was “miraculous” that no one else was injured.
The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
