Police and fire crews responding to the call found the man lying partially under the front end of a truck parked on a lot next to the sidewalk, police said. The scene indicated the man had been thrown under the truck after being hit by the minivan. He died at the scene.

Portions of the highway were closed for several hours while police investigated the accident.
