DARRINGTON – A 50-year-old man was killed Saturday when the motorcycle he was driving and a pickup truck collided on Seemann Street, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The man, whose hometown was not known, died at the scene, sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen said.
The accident occurred about 12:15 p.m. when the westbound motorcycle collided with a Datsun pickup that was eastbound on Seemann Street and failed to negotiate a curve, Jorgensen said.
Two women in the pickup were not injured.
Tulalip: Firefighters fight blaze in home, car
TULALIP – Firefighters put out a fire that engulfed a mobile home and a car Saturday morning.
Marysville Fire District responded around 8 a.m. to the fire in the 4400 block of Meridian Avenue N., said Travis Hots, the district’s acting captain. Tulalip Fire District 15 also assisted with the effort.
The fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes before it could reach a nearby house, which sustained some water damage, Hots said. Nobody was injured.
The fire’s cause and damage were under investigation, Hots said.
