BOTHELL — Police are investigating a shooting that took place on a busy intersection Thursday afternoon, in the midst of heavy traffic.
No one was hurt, and the suspect is still at large, said Elmer Brown, spokesperson for the Bothell Police Department.
Witnesses say a man, parked in a parking lot of a strip mall at the corner of 228th Street SW and Meridian Avenue S., fired a shotgun blast across the street about 4:40 p.m., Brown said. It was unclear if he was aiming at anyone or what his motive might have been, Brown said.
The suspect was last seen driving northbound on Meridian in a silver two-door passenger car, Brown said.
Brown said the area was very crowded at the time of the shooting and many cars were traveling along the arterial route. "It was amazing no one was hurt," he said.
Detectives are investigating the incident, Brown said.
