Man found dead in homeless camp Friday in Mountlake Terrace

His identity and cause of death are pending.

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A man in his 30s was found dead Friday afternoon in a homeless camp area off the Interurban Trail in Mountlake Terrace.

Mountlake Terrace police and South County Fire medics responded to the 1:35 p.m. Friday report from a public works employee who discovered a body in the bushes along the Interurban Trail, west of Olympic View Arena.

Chief Pete Caw said man was known to officers who patrol the area.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet released the man’s identity or cause of death.
