ASTORIA, Ore. — A 40-year-old man who was under the influence of methamphetamine, heroin and oxycodone when his car crossed the centerline of U.S. 101 has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the deaths of two people in the resulting crash.
The Daily Astorian reported the Subaru Impreza driven by Sterling Maxwell Frinell collided head-on in Warrenton last year with a Volkswagen Beetle.
Two Seaside residents on their way to church choir practice died: Mark Agalzoff, 52, a Seaside city employee, and his 20-year-old passenger, Tryg Walker McCord.
Frinell, a former Seattle resident, was found guilty in August of manslaughter and other charges.
Prosecutors said Frinell had a suspended driver’s license at the time of the crash. His girlfriend also was injured in the crash.
