EVERETT — A man was hospitalized Saturday after an Everett woman randomly climbed into his car and stabbed him with a folding knife.
The man was driving his car around 6:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Beverly Lane and Magnolia Avenue, according to a police affidavit.
The woman, 25, climbed into the car’s passenger window and started stabbing the man, court papers show.
The man got out of the car, and the attack continued until he was able to grab the knife and throw it into some grass nearby.
Police arrived to find the man sitting on the ground “covered in blood,” and the woman in the middle of the road screaming and “not making any sense,” court papers show.
The woman’s possessions were scattered across the road, and police allegedly found a bag of methamphetamine among them.
The man suffered multiple stab wounds but was expected to recover. He did not know or recognize the woman, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said Monday.
“The attack did appear to be random in nature,” Snell said.
The woman was booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault and possession of a controlled substance.
