LYNNWOOD — A road-rage incident near Lynnwood on Friday night left a man with serious injuries.
Washington State Patrol troopers are asking for help finding one of the drivers, who fled in a red sports utility vehicle, license plate AGU4174. The man is wanted for investigation of hit-and-run, Sgt. Mark Francis said.
The incident was reported about 5:20 p.m. on northbound I-5 near 164th Street SW.
A Subaru and the Yukon were involved in some kind of altercation, Francis said. Both drivers pulled over on the gore point.
Investigators have not sorted out exactly what happened, but the dispute appears to have centered over accusations of being cut off in traffic, Francis said.
A woman in her 20s was driving the Subaru. Her passenger was a man in his 20s.
The passenger got out, as did the man driving the GMC. A fist fight ensued.
The GMC driver then took off, allegedly striking the man from the other vehicle.
The injured man was taken in an ambulance to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
