EVERETT — A Seattle man, 28, remained in serious condition on Thursday after his car struck a barrier Wednesday afternoon on I-5 in Everett.
The man was southbound in a Ford Focus that struck the large concrete barrier just north of 41st Street, said trooper Mark Francis with the Washington State Patrol.
The wreck was reported about 12:30 p.m. Traffic was restricted in the area for a short time.
The man was taken to an Everett hospital but was later taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
He remained in the intensive care unit there on Thursday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The accident remains under investigation.
