PORTLAND, Ore. — Police say a 49-year-old man has been arrested after making threats with a gun at a southeast Portland park.
Officers were flagged down by people at Brooklyn Park Sunday morning. Witnesses told officers the man was making threats with a gun.
Officers were able to take the man into custody.
Inside the man’s bags, officers found two handguns and a suspicious device. A bomb squad was called in and the device was determined to be a homemade explosive device.
Brooklyn Park was temporally closed.
The man was taken to jail. His name was not immediately released.
